What's New at Christ Lutheran Nursery School

March 2010

As we welcome March we will look forward to the arrival of spring. The children will be doing projects and activities centered on weather and the changes we should expect.

The month of March starts out busy. Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held March 2nd and 3rd and then the following week on March 9th and 10th if additional time is still needed. School Pictures will also take place on March 4th for the Three-Year old Class and March 5th for the Four-Year Old and Pre-K Classes.

Mark your calendars for a combined all Church/school event. There will be a Pasta Supper/Puppet show on the eve of Saturday, March 6th beginning at 5:00. The children of the Sunday school will be hosting the Pasta Supper. Donations for the supper will be accepted. The Sunday School Children will send donations to a charity of their choice. The Pumpernickel Puppets will present the Puppet Show at 6:00PM

We will also begin “Cool School” registration this month. Cool School is our June program that begins after our regular school year ends. Cool School will run from June 1st-June 25th. Parents have the option of signing their child up for two, three or all five mornings. The hours of Cool School are from 9:00-11:30. Tuition will remain consistent of a regular monthly payment for the amount of days a child attends. There will be more information on this to follow for the parents of all our Preschoolers.

There will be a half-day of school on Good Friday, April 2nd. The morning class will meet for the regular scheduled class; however there will be no Pre-k class. Pastor Judy invites all children to attend a brief Children’s service to talk about some of the events of Holy Week. This service is designed for children and will begin at 11:45 following the morning session. Pastor Judy has been recently called to serve as pastor at Christ Lutheran Church.

The Nursery School Board will be meeting March 30th at 7:00PM.
